Graco (Stadium Duo, Quattro Tour Duo)

Inexpensive tandem variant. It is rather cheep that is good for young newly married couples. This stroller has the easy mechanism of folding for improved convenience. Compactness is also the one of advantages. The stroller goes into small lifts (even with sitting in children). The complete set includes a big basket for purchases.

But… the baby stroller has some demerits too. First of all, it is manifested in bad amortization (road’s roughness is appreciable). Small dual non-inflatable wheels do not do for snowy winters with unclear paths. By the way, owing to this reason it will be difficult to deliver on borders.

Secondly, the stroller is heavy enough and not very maneuverable. The forward seat can’t be spread completely. There is no «faced to mum» position that is desirable when you are walking with an infant. However, it is the characteristic for all tandems.

Finally, sometimes senior kids refuse sitting on the back seat because of the limited view. But despite the demerits, this stroller is much in demand on the world’s market because of the price.

Phil and Teds (Sport, Classic and Vibe)

Multipurpose transformer. This stroller, in contrast to previous one, is rather expensive. It resembles tandem outwardly, but the back seat is fastened and settled down too closely under the forward. As a result, “the bottom” child is practically hidden under “the top”.

With such a stroller you can take for a walk either two children or only one of them, depending on a situation. If you remove the second seat, a stroller from the double will turn into unary that is favorable, because you will not be in need of buying one more stroller when the senior kid will go by himself.

Phil and Teds baby stroller has a small width and in length is even shorter than many unary models. Also it possesses the good amortization (the smooth course is guaranteed) and three big inflatable wheels (the forward is rotary).

What about demerits, the basic one consists in the fact that “the bottom” child is sitting too close to the ground (especially considering different environmental conditions, slush and snowdrifts). It will be dusty for him in the summer, wet – during the rain. At frost it will be problematic to wrap the bottom seat and the child inside with a fur envelope.

Stroller’s seats always are at an angle, they have no strictly vertical position that frequently is not comfortable for the babies. Because of it the younger child has a bad view and in lying position is badly visible for mum.

When there are both of the children in a stroller, the basket for products is inaccessible. Also such models usually have inconvenient brakes and fragile locks.

ABC Design Zoom

Multimodular tandem stroller. This model is notable for various combinations of modules’ installation: you can establish a cradle for the younger child and a walking seat for the senior one or two walking blocks at once; with different positions (babies can sit “one after another” or “face to face”). There will be no problems with modules’ replacement, with rearrangement of cradles and walking blocks.

The baby stroller has four wheels (forward are rotary), so it will be convenient for you to drive on steps. Another advantage consists in good amortization and the excellent view for children.

Nevertheless, non-inflatable wheels are not absolutely strong; therefore we don’t recommend you to overload a stroller. There is no strictly vertical position of the seats that is also inconvenient in use. The stroller has too big length. And the width of 67 cm can prevent the model from going into some lifts.

Maclaren Twin (Techno or Traveller)

It is one of the double strollers with seats made side-by-side. It is one of the narrowest double strollers of a similar kind. So, the basic advantage of the model is its small width. The stroller will pass through any standard door. But if you want to go into lift, it is necessary to fold it a little. For this purpose you need to raise the collapsible mechanism on the back side of a stroller by foot.

Maclaren Twin can be easily and compactly folded. Seats can be spread to completely horizontal position that is not presented in tandem strollers. The both of your kids will have an excellent view.

In the capacity of demerits we can name bad amortization, small rigid wheels, narrow seats (27 cm — it will be close for children in bulky winter overalls). Also maneuverability is not very good; it will be difficult to lift a stroller on borders.

Jane Powertwin

This tandem stroller is rather maneuvering. It freely passes through any doors, between counters and cash desks in shops. Also baby stroller can go into lifts (we mean exactly Jane Powertwin, not its Pro updating — it is wider, so you will need to fold it).

The model has big inflatable wheels (the forward one is rotary) and the manual brake. It can be easily and compactly folded.

As well as in all tandems, the back seat of Jane Powertwin stroller is not so flat, as in a cradle, therefore we recommend you to place a portable cradle with a rigid bottom on a back seat for the infant’s transfer.

The forward seat can be spread only up to semi-lying position. By the way, the seats are rather small.
